  1. As a product of a community college start in life and thereafter successful 4 year plus state university career achieving three degrees in education/administration, I can say unconditionally that most high school students don’t have study skills and self-focusing to achieve success at a 4 year institution of higher learning and fall out due to their academic shortcomings. Furthermore, I can attest to fact that high school students are mislead by their adult supervisors albeit in sports etc. for selfish reasons. It’s disheartening to see this fact of life, but when a student fails then it’s back to basics – rework it!
